Mathstronaut is an iPod touch/iPhone/iPad maths game for kids of all ages, and is compatible the innovative App-titude automatic assessment system.
Maths questions play out in a variety of crazy, colourful and funny animations as players blast their way into space.
There are two game modes. In Blast Off, players must answer questions correctly to power their spaceship towards a distant alien planet, pushing past their best scores to get deeper into space. In Countdown, players have a set time limit to answer questions at the selected difficulty level. Ideal for standardised tests or for teachers to run an exciting live leaderboard using the App-titude online system.
The game features addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Based on the Australian School Curriculum and the Victorian Essential Learning Standards, Mathstronaut boasts four levels of difficulty that automatically adapt to match each child's progress.
Mathstronaut was developed in consultation with teachers in classrooms and educational experts, and built by professional game developers.
Mathstronaut is a standalone game, suitable for learners anywhere - but it's also designed for classroom use with the innovative App-titude assessment system. Teachers can instantly see and track their students' progress online via the iPod's automatic wireless updates.
As students complete tasks within the game they gain App-titude achievements, such as ‘Getting Into It’ and ‘Maths Crazy’. Each of the 10 achievements available corresponds to a level of participation or competency. They are displayed in a simple helpful online interface for teachers.
